Terms of Service

1. These terms
These terms govern your use of thetaskmate.co.uk and the TaskMate apps. By creating an account or booking a service you agree to them.
2. What we do
TaskMate is a marketplace that introduces customers to independent service providers. Providers are not employees or agents of TaskMate; the contract for each task is between the customer and the provider directly.
3. Your account
You must be 18 or older. Keep your password and OTPs private. Tell us immediately if you suspect your account has been compromised.
4. Payments and refunds
Payment is held by our payment processor and released to the provider on job completion, less the marketplace fee. Refund eligibility is described in the Help Centre and depends on the cancellation policy in force at the time of booking.
5. Prohibited use
Don't impersonate others, harass providers or customers, post illegal content, or attempt to bypass our marketplace fees by transacting off-platform.
6. Liability
We are responsible for losses caused by our negligence to the extent the law requires, but we are not responsible for the quality of work performed by independent providers.
7. Governing law
English law applies and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
