1. Who we are

TaskMate Ltd, registered in England and Wales, is the data controller for personal information processed through thetaskmate.co.uk and the TaskMate apps.

2. What we collect

Account details (name, email, phone, postcode); booking history (services requested, providers chosen, ratings); payment information (processed by our payment provider, never stored on our servers); device telemetry (IP, OS, app version) for fraud prevention and crash analytics.

3. Why we use it

To run the marketplace (matching customers with vetted providers), process payments, prevent fraud, and improve the service. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

4. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

5. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and for six years after closure (UK tax law). Booking and payout records are kept for the same period. Marketing preferences expire two years after your last interaction.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on UK-approved safeguards (UK IDTA, EU SCCs, adequacy decisions).
